Pediatric Hearing Aids

0

Children with hearing loss have needs that differ greatly from adults.  In order to properly develop speech and language skills, children need to hear all types of sounds.  They also continue to have changing needs in classroom settings and in new social enviroments.  Children also need hearing aids that are durable and and are safe and that can withstand the daily activities of an active child.

Manufacturers are designing hearing aids that are truly pediatric in size and shape.  The manufacturers begin by focusing on what children need and how their activities differ from adult wearers.  Pediatric hearing aids come in colors and designs that will appeal to the younger wearers.
