Hearing Protection for Hunters

Hunting season is upon us and that means lots of people will be entering the woods without hearing protection. Those unprotected hunters will at some point experience serious hearing loss.

Saline Audiology can provide hunters with different types of hearing protection. Custom hearing protection, is molded to fit the individuals ear. This protection blocks out the sound of gun fire, but does not amplify sound. Amplified hearing protection, know as Soundscopes, is hearing protection that amplifies the sound of the game, while providing hearing protection when the gun is fired. Both types of hearing protection can be used for shooting of firearms. Amplified hearing protection is good for any type of hunting, including bow hunting. so that hunters can hear and localize to their game of choice.

At Saline Audiology, we want the grandpas to be able to hear their grandchild say “I love you, grandpa!” when their families gather around the dinner table at Thanksgiving.
